Im with you 100%
Bravo Big C man. Thats a mighty damn fine Fisking if I do say so myself.
And I just did.
I agree too - Way to many people in this country do not realize - IF we have no country, no freedom - and that is the people who have stood up and are standing up to protect the country ALL of it is lost. But the caveat to that (or is it corollary?) is that the fine citizens of this beloved land must also stand up - and do their part. Not just sit back with their hands out - but know how to take care of themselves, their children and be responsible for their lives. My son & d-i-l are doing the same thing - to the point of homeschooling as her son is back to skating the edge of failure. They thought that they had it beat back (7th grade I think) but now (he’s 16) - he is struggling again. We talked about their options but to me, it is just great that they are doing the work - of parents - pushing him, helping him and considering options.
I am sick & tired of hearing about how great the Unions are - they are part & parcel of why America is on the brink - Notice how when it is a Union - their contracts are sacred promises but when it was the CEOs of AIG - their pay was outragious and subject to The Won altering them - because of what the crapweasels in DC have done via legislation to the housing/mortgage industries? Notice how when Union healthcare/retirement benefits are quesitoned - it is I Worked for it - but CEOs are called - golden parachutes?
Meanwhile - We The People no longer have a voice in DC (although lately a few are rising above the din), we pay outrageous taxes to cover Union & Political five-star life styles and golden parachutes - while we have to work until we drop (now that investing has become a real crap shoot)?
The big question is How to get rid of these parasites - I think WI, OH, MI, TN, IA, & IN are on the front lines - We must back them, support them and stand up with the courageous few who have decided to take the first shots in this War to Take Back America. Before it’s too late.

I don’t remember who said it, but here it is:
The most important office in a democracy is that of the citizen.
Not even sure I got the quote right. But I did get the spirit.
If citizens are either uninformed, or apathetic, then the government will descend into tyranny. It is our duty as parents, citizens, voters, and taxpayers, to be informed, and be active.
For too long the citizenry has been slumbering. The TEA party movement is a very good first step in rousing the slumbering citizenry.
