Thank God, Or A Nascent Recall

 

1. While happy, I’m not celebrating. I wouldn’t trust this bunch as far as I can throw them. The frog is in the water & they’ll turn up the heat slowly. They voted to send it to the crime commission for further “study” thanks to support from 4 Democrat senators. They rightly point out the bill was so poorly worded that the resulting confusion would have left it unenforceable. They may try something underhanded before the session is over in March. I can’t see it going any where next year b/c it’s an election year & based on the backlash this year, bringing it to the forefront next year would be suicide for the Dems in Nov 2021. I pointed out in an earlier comment that they have passed some other incremental measures (some not overtly related to gun control)that are troubling, removing voter Id requirements, nullifying the electoral college etc. We’ve got to bury them next year.

2. I agree CBG - these power mad control freaks will wait it out, make little bills of one thing or another and step by Un-Constitutional step whittle away at the 2nd Amendment. Their eventual grasp is to get enough states with massive gun control legislation to drag it up to the Supremes to get it into ‘law’ - like abortion and like gay marriage.

   Until We The People stop them. Possibly in the future - with guns.
