I have my own fears ... both these bombs were rather pathetic as bombs go, not much more potent than a hand grenade in a can full of nails. Or buckshot or whatever. Just a tiny bit of murder and mayhem. A “real” bomb would’ve torn the place up for a block in all directions. These didn’t even knock over the flags 10’ in front of them. How convenient; all the look of real terrorism with just a tiny bit of murder and mayhem.
I now fear that this will be THE crisis, and I fear it may not be “real” terrorism. Which makes me rather a whack job right now, a mantle I’ll wear with pride if in 90 days we are not in a functioning police state. I want to be wrong, so much so. But the sheer hypocrisy of a trigger event coming on Patriot’s Day is just so, so perfect that only the fringers could think it was deliberate. But this has pushed the Gosnell case right off TV, just as the word was really starting to spread that the MSM was pulling a number on the whole nation. And that there gun control thingie we all had to ACT NOW on was/is slowly dying on the vine, despite RINO Boner’s attempts at CPR. So now all the King’s horses and all the King’s men are on High Alert to Keep Us Safe by whatever means necessary and we’ll all be thankful for that protection ... never mind that the horses have left the barn already.
Yeah, and it happened the very same day precious metals took a dive, first real dump they’ve had in more than TWO years. Which came a couple days after yet another raid on paper metals, a sucker’s game that has not really impacted the physical market. But today physical dropped like a stone. Hmmm.

If the bomber has any conservative or Tea Party sympathies, let alone affiliation, the political fallout will be horrendous. Like the Connecticut shooter creating a blizzard of gun control proposals and laws or when Fjordman got hauled in for questioning by the police because Brevik once posted on his web site, we will be found guilty by association. That we are innocent won’t matter.

You sure nailed it dead center Doc. And isn’t it a shame, a depressing thought, that here we are hoping like mad it’s actually a terrorist or just some lone but NOT white loony tune.
