  1. Another meaningless over-reaction from our clueless leaders.

  2. More here:

Interesting source, though sometimes kinda “fringey” but then this wole middle-east-terrorist thing is definitely beyond the fringe to start with.

  4. You missed some… DUFU is blogging the inane response of the libtards.  http://dummiefunnies.blogspot.com/2006/08/dummies-blame-their-usual-suspects-in.html And Hotair is covering it too.  http://hotair.com/archives/2006/08/10/breaking-scotland-yard-busts-major-plot-to-blow-up-airplane/

  5. I was not greatly reassured when the police here stated they were not targetting any particular group over this. One wouldn’t want to see those beastly police picking on the poor innocent ROpissers after all. Good grief our leaders are still in denial. They need what you Americans describe as a severe beating with a clue bat. Who else do they think is behind this? The Mormons?

Raydog. In Britain it is illegal to racially profile. No doubt the same is true in the US.  The Home Secretary can allow targetting of specific nationalities, but it is highly restricted. However since islam as far as I am aware is more a death cult, and not a “race” I see no harm in picking on a few bearded swarthy chaps! Sometimes I wonder when we will (if ever) wake up to the threat these people really pose. OK so they didn’t blow up any planes this time. Even so the chaos that has resulted will cost millions in lost earnings and disruption. If we have to upset a few muslims by profiling then tough.

Oh and what’s the betting that two years from now when they finally get these clowns to court they get acquitted on a technicality?

  6. Mr. Christian,

Because it is. It is a decision of blathering fools, signifying fuck all.

  7. Whew!  It’s a good thing that no Muslims were involved in this.

  8. Hey guys,

Tried to put a msg through on a thread yesterday (can’t remember which one) and I’m not sure if it went through (if it did I’m sorry for the repeat)

I’m in Jeffersonville IN now, we’re staying at Jas’s mom’s house for the time being (Jas was declared too fat for the Navy) Robbie started school yesterday, JJ will start next week once we get his special ed services in order.

We’re doing ok for the most part, just wanted to drop a line and let you all know I’m still alive and pissing off liberals every chance I get.  LOL

Take care, and drop me an email at if you want, no guarantees when I’ll answer cause the house I’m staying at has dialup (yikes)

  11. It won’t be too long before the usual bunch of DU, daily Kotz and CPUSA leftards start chanting that this was yet another “evil Bushitler-Halliburton-Karl Rove plot”. Stay tuned… Michael Moron, Oliver Stoned and Al Frankenstein are already chomping at the bit…

Now, what GWB’s speech SHOULD have been:

“If any aircraft get blown out of the sky, there will be immediate and overwhelming retribution. I shall randomly choose at least one moose-lim cith and proceed to nuke it out of existance. No investigation, no warning. ANy questions? I didn’t think so...”

  12. Catching bad guys? Good.

Making people feel like the scum of the earth and limiting freedom of movement for no good reason? A fucking stupid move.

The new British restrictions do nothing but give the impression of doing something. They are a fraud, a calumny, and do far more to make people distrust the authorities than they do to stop terrorists. Consistently intelligence work and criminal investigations have done more to stymie terrorist attacks than the busy work placed upon airport security. Keep your eyes open for stories of resistence, civil and criminal cases brought against the government, all coming to a head with an anti-Homeland Security riot on a particularly busy holiday weekend.

People are getting tired of the bullshit. There will come a time when they won’t tolerate it any longer.

  18. People are getting tired of the bullshit. There will come a time when they won’t tolerate it any longer.

Which B.S. is that?  You mean the “politically correct” B.S. that allows for open borders and freedom of movement for those who would do our society harm?  Western civilization has become waaay too lax in protecting the freedoms it claims to deserve by default.  And the jihadis know it and are taking advantage of it.

Those who appreciate and enjoy the basic freedom of “life” will understand that someone has their safety in mind instead of b*tching about a little travel inconvenience.  And riddle me this:  If they didn’t take these precautions, would people not be complaining just as loud about “our government not protecting us”?

Complaining and finger-pointing are easy...contributing to finding a solution takes work and (at the very least) earns my respect.

Posted by shinjinrui    United States   08/10/2006  at  05:18 PM

  19. I agree with your solution Skipper.  Unfortunately, with all our vocal libtards always making a fuss about “civil liberties” such a thing would never happen.

Posted by lisar915    United States   08/10/2006  at  06:24 PM

  20. Oh, and I’m blogging about it too.

Posted by lisar915    United States   08/10/2006  at  06:25 PM

  21. Bulldog,

You don’t defend freedom by treating the people as if they were useless idiots who have to be protected at all cost, you defend freedom by giving the people the tools they need to protect themselves.

You wish to support a tyranny of arrogance and elitism, that’s your problem. I will oppose such a tyranny as much as I am able. The new restrictions on liquids and gels has no purpose. It’s busywork. It’s nothing more than the posturing of fools wanting praise for doing nothing substantial.

    It’s a lie.

The terrorists were thwarted by old-fashioned police work. There was no need to bar drinks, make-up, or toothpaste. None what so ever. The only purpose such a ban can have is to make people feel helpless, frustrate them, and add another inconvenience is a world already full of too many.

Once three demons met in a bar to discuss how they had led souls into Hell.

The first said, “I tempted a woman into an affair with her boss.”

The second said, “I inspired a man to kill a stranger over a parking place.”

The third demon said, “I made a traffic light malfunction.”

The other two looked at him, and the first demon exclaimed, “That’s the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard.”

The third demon just smiled and said, “Between the two of you a total of two mortals were set on the path to Hell today. With a single malfunctioning traffic light, and the frustrations it caused, I set hundreds on the road to Perdition.”

  22. Ah, the joys of air travel have just become even more pleasureable.  Can’t bring your own drinks past security.  Can’t bring on board the overpriced drinks you purchased prior to boarding the plane.  I’m going to refrain from flying and will drive for business reasons.  Too much bullshit involved in flying from point A to point B.  The ropers will continue to get a pass on airport security checks so as to avoid the claim of profiling.  Screw profiling in the ass.  Damn it.  You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to insure the safety of Americans.  If the muslims don’t like it then tough titty.  The Japanese here in the US didn’t like it much after Pearl Harbor either.

  23. Did you catch the joker (don’t know his name never watch the channel) on MSNBC all serious like insisting that the news of the terrorist plot was held until after the Tues election (which Joe Lieberman lost) as a Chaney/Rove/Bush plot to remind all those awful people in CT that there is a war on terror which Joe Lieberman (who lost) supported. These people are completely unhinged (Michelle Malkin) suffering from serious mental illness (Michael Savage) and just plain crazy (me).

We are in a WAR, secrets are kept by Governments to PROTECT the population, not cause panic nor TIP OFF the enemy. Which part is this joker more worried about - I suspect the latter, since that seems to the action du jour.

mythusmage - I partially agree with you - the actions taken are over-reaction. But it is the result of the pc police/left/libs who won’t let the US/Israel/UK take each and every 18 - 35 muslim man and check ‘em out for weapons, legal status, religious/political leanings and financial resources. Until we can single out the enemy and as Skipper said - hang them from the watch tower - or at least shot them at dawn. . . these stupid actions are going to be necessary. Or until WWIII explodes and even more ‘harsh’ conditions will exist. I’ll take the stupid over harsh or a real world war any day - and I think most rational, sane citizens agree.
