  1. Has to be The Passion, doesn’t it?

The Old Media don’t trouble to disguise their aversion to Christianity any more.

  2. Not only that but they are quite proud to associate themselves with that sick movie about Kinsey....

  3. Wow, I hadn’t even heard of half of these.  (And I’ve seen precisely none of them.)

  4. To paraphrase Arthur Dent, “This is obviously a meaning of the word ‘best’ to which I have been previously unaware.”

  5. I was only familiar with 4 titles.  I saw none of them.  I might be tempted to see the Potter film.

But BEST FILMS? Give me a major league break!!! The reviewer is probably homosexual.  Sorry, had to say it.  It’s the only reason to explain his choices.  That list is absolute bullshit.

  6. There is one comfort.  At least that fat moujik from Flint didn’t make the cut.

  7. I have ADHD so a movie has to really interest me for me to bother forcing myself to sit through it in a theater . if Shrek2 is on the list, I did see that. Doesn’t matter anyway since I’ve become a major aficiando of documentaries. There’s NOTHING that Hollywood can produce-that can be anywhere near as interesting as what REALLY happened If something really has my interest-I can sit through ANYTHING.

  8. i saw the harry potter movie, but i haven’t seen any of the rest of them, and to be honest, haven’t even heard of most of them. it proves yet again just how out of touch the msm and hollywood are with normal people.

  9. I wonder what they based their list on.  I’ve heard of 6 through 10, but haven’t seen any of them, and I don’t think any of the listed movies did very well at the box office.

  10. I’m surprised they didn’t include it on the “10 Worst Movies of the Year.”

    I wouldn’t be surprized.

  11. What Vilmar said.  The reviewer must be one of those artsy-fartsy-light-in-the-loafers types.

Lennie DeCrapio as Howard Hughes?  Boychild as macho man?  Gimme a break.

“...film noir about desire, revenge and abusive priests...” Yup, light in the loafers.

And we’re gonna put down high school football, elevate some chick boxer to superwoman status.

And last but not least, we have the “...nuanced, surprisingly sweet tribute to the revolutionary sex researcher...” who fudged his data and was a pedophile.

Do you think this reviewer has ever been out of the bath houses and white wine parties long enough to see the real world?

  12. Why couldn’t they have put OPEN WATER on that list?  I just watched the DVD three nights ago, and I can’t get the movie out of my head.  What a brilliant work of craftsmanship.  Newsweek sucks!
