2. I won’t claim to have checked into him very closely. My problem with him was that I kept hearing he wanted to pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan basically *immediately*. Without debating the merits of whether we should have gone in the first place, once you’re there you *commit to stay until the job is done*. Anything less is just adding to the casualty figures sometime in the future.

3. Anything more will probably end up the same way as anything less, that just seems to be the nature of this BEAST.  I’m sure you have ended up in a position where you are damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.  The only gratification usually comes from killing the asshole(s) that got you into this position in the first place.
