The more of this strip I see, the more I am reminded of Walt Kelly and Pogo.
It’s good to find someone carrying Walt’s torch. I have long missed it.
Tann, it is a modern version of Pogo. Occasionally, it gets into politics but from a middle-ground perspective. R.J. Raccoon is the cool dude who always has a plan. Verne is the anal-retentive turtle who tries to be cool but always falls short. Sammy Squirrel is about five cans short of a six-pack and the rest of the critters all join to poke fun at the humans intruding into their environment.
They’re making the strip into a movie. Bruce Willis has been signed to do the voice of R.J. Now that oughta be cool.
Glad I’m still getting the right impressions of things. I’ll look forward to that movie.
Thanks, Skipper.
