  1. It was disheartening to watch Buchanan go off the deep end. I think he eitomizes John Milton’s quote from Satan, “Better to reign in hell than serve in heav’n.” Where Satan may seem even heroic, Buchanan seems plainly senile.

  2. Rockets landed in Yuma, AZ, and San Ysidro today, killing three people and wounding fourteen. The “Azatlan Martyrs Brigade” claimed responsibility for the attack. Spokesman Miguel Rodriguez said in a live CNN interview after the attacks, “Azatlan belongs to Mexico. We were illegally deprived of our homes by American imperialists and we are coming back!”

White House press secretary Katie Couric said President Clinton would issue a formal statement soon, but other officials, on conditions of anonymity, said she is preparing to ask the United Nations for assistance and a declaration deploring the attack.

“As reasonable as it is that they want this land back,” said the official, “we just cannot sit back and let them attack us without telling them how strongly we condemn these attacks. After all, three years and dozens dead and hundreds injured is just a bit much!”

In other developments, Canadian nationalist group “54:40 My Ass” announced it has signed a pact with the Azatlan Martyrs Brigade and will work with them to reclaim sections of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and North Dakota for Canada. The White House had no comment.

  3. I do not understand why anyone other than a radical Muslim, Islamic extremist or a woman under there feet would side with a portion of the extremist killers and thugs who have said, repeatedly, that Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth, that the Western Infidels must be killed and that anyone not Muslim must be brought under the Muslim rule. . . What about that makes anyone think that they can be negiotiated with, tolerated, or simply ignored? Perhaps we are in this state - because since 1979, the civilized world has pretty much ignored and appeased these murderous thugs.

A few well placed bombs should bring this issue under control.  Let’s see how many ‘innocents’ on all sides must be killed before that happens.

BTW peiper, I agree with Australia - if you don’t like the rules - go home, no one made you come here (America/Australia/Britian/France or anywhere not the Middle East)
