No question that this is good news. But on the other hand it is another setback for the UN-court and especially the chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte. They aren’t even able to keep their most famous prisoner alive.

Yep, a cretin of the “first order”. Sometimes fate is the arbiter of justice. There sure isn’t enough of it in most court systems. Good riddance.

Can we hope that Saddam has a ‘heart attack’ too? Would that be too much to ask - personally I hope he commits suicide, he strikes me as the weak, weaselly type to do such a thing. Especially if the trial starts going bad for him. Then we can hope that Ahmadinejad suffers one too. And then finally Kim Jong-il.I mean we got lucky with Arafat, now Milosevic - would it really be too much for the lasts of the crazies to fade away. Looking at it, I guess it is too much to ask - so lets just hope the courts and cooler heads prevail worldwide.
