  1. I agree with all you say, but read the background on this - the groundwork for this insanity and greed was set up between 1990 and 1996 when the previous CEO was taking advantage of a lousy (not that the dems would ever admit it) economy and worsening energy situation. Skilling and Lay did continue it and exploit it - but the foundation had already been established in the ‘what I do is my private business’ Clinton era.

We’ve been going to hell in a handbasket for ages but do you notice that the ones who actually go to jail and pay fines - are the business owners (corupt corporations) and Repubs. while the on video Jefferson (dem, LA) and in public hit a cop McKinney (dem, GA) keep on trucking - not to mention their leader in chief President Bill ‘I did not have sex with that woman’ Clinton.

I just hope that there is a special place in hell for these people. While the majority of people struggle just to keep their heads above water, to take care of their families and make a little bit of the American dream come true for themselves - these jerks lie, cheat and spit in our faces while laughing all the way to the bank.

What is wrong with the stocks? Doesn’t kill anyone and certainly can’t be considered cruel. Too bad the PC police have made so many people afraid to even say “That’s wrong, resign NOW.”

  2. I was working in Houston this week, when this was all going down. The entire town seemed to be overjoyed at the verdict. I suspect that these guys are going down for a very long time. If you steal 100 million times as much as a 7-11 thief, you deserve 100 million times the time in the slammer.
