  1. Coming to America soonest. I hear the rumblings of the ships of garbage floating off to nowhere - and of course Mt. Rumpke is the butt of all jokes locally.

I recycle what I can - probably 85%+ - not perfect but since neighbors on all sides don’t recycle a thing - well I’m ahead of the game - so to speak.

There is a vast land between my neighbors who do nothing toward recycling and fining people for not separating their ‘trash’ and recyclables. It is that vast area - we need to get the majority of humans into.

BTW, want to put recycling to a hush on the young people - buy an expectant couple cloth diapers and pins - utter dead silence. Nasty yes, uncivilized - mostly. But green as can be.

I watched Modern Marvels The Secrets of Oil yesterday, there are two ways to re-use car motor oil - filter (called second use) or to refine again. Doing the second refine would save 90,000 barrels of oil (a year I think) and uses less energy than the first refining. And the deal of shredding cars - the stuff left looks like dirt and is used to cover landfills. And a guy in CA is working on the recycling of computer parts - made hard as the stuff is fused together. It is out there right now, goreacle - let the free market push it.

Inspiration, invention and a free economy is going to drive the enviromental and recycling movement forward faster and better than any enforced beauracratic, taxing nightmare ever will.
