Sad and dispiriting, isn’t it. Thank goodness we have the internet.
True, but the part of the net that is outraged by these affairs seems to be a closed cell. A niche. A coffee circle, talking to ourselves. Few others seem to hear the stories.
True, but at least there’s a coffee circle that hears the stories. And gets outraged. And is energized to do something about it. And hopefully some of the information and outrage spills out from the circle and wakes other people up (sorry about the coffee analogies - or is it metaphors? - anyway...). I wonder how many scandals like Gunwalker and Solyndra got swept under the rug back in the day when all we had were newspapers and television.
Yes CenTexTim - that is what is moving America right now. The people talking amongst themselves, on the face might not seem so big but it has gotten to the point that even Dems/’news’papers are commenting negatively on things - think about it - would we have seen this 3 or even 2 years ago?
What is missing from the ‘narrative’ is that the msm hasn’t/won’t cover the real story and thus some people think that their beliefs, values and political thought is not the ‘mainstream’ in America.
The Internet, sites like these, FB and the Tea Party - are showing them and the other side that they are the MAINSTREAM and the fraud perpetrated upon America in 2008 is/has been bent on the destruction of all that IS the American Dream by less than 21% of America.
I admit that there are moments that I too feel defeated - I don’t see anyone in the ‘candidates’ but occasionally Bachman, Cain and Paul actually speaking up and out. In Congress - well it’s about as pathetic.
I think in Nov 2012 that will change. No longer Cult of Personality, no longer White Guilt (never owned a slave - I’m not guilty) - no longer RINO go-along-to-get-along in DC politics as usual.
I can hardly wait. Just wish I had the money to help make a difference.
