My home iSP just installed a spam blocker called ”Spam Funnel” and it really seems to do the job, far better than their original “webmail” blocker. I have had that particular e-mail address for over 10 years, and I think every spammer in the known universe had it pegged. My usual weekend “take” was around 40 and up to 60 spams, this last weekend it was only three, and the daily average is one or less, so far.
Author Larry Niven once observed that while the death penalty does not deter murders, it would certainly deter jay walking. Maybe we could apply it to spamming?
My ISP uses Brightmail and I get at most 2 a day. With Compuserve I was getting 900 per day .One thing I learned fast was never hit the unsuscribe link,it will just make it worse .
Hmmm, Mailwasher Pro? Good program and I’ve kept my junk mail to a minimum.
