1. Double standard is the least of it.  I watched the speech - this guy is certifiable!  Even the quotes you’ve posted make him look relatively sane, if a bit strange and bigoted.  The complete video makes him look like a lunatic in need of medication!  No white politician would still be in office after saying the sort of things Nagin has said over the last months, why don’t we hold Black politicians and leaders to the same standards? What kind of paternalistic, white man’s burden concept is keeping this guy in office and out of an asylum?

   Rodney King, on the other hand, similarly stoned out of his gourd, managed to say something simple and human in a bad situation.  “Can’t we all just get along?”
