Sometimes You Bake A Brick

 

1. In Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books I believe this is known as ‘dwarf bread’ and is a fearsome weapon in dwarfish hands. Also has an almost unlimited shelf-life.

2. Actually the brick tasted quite good, even though it didn’t rise much or have much oven spring. Sometimes the experiments fail.
