  1. I understand that ‘blue ointment’ will do the trick for crabs. Not that I have any personal experience with it, of course. No siree.

  2. You forgot to mention Avian/Bird Flu (H5N1) which has begun spreading human to human in Indonesia recently.  Apparently, the Indonesians have a love affair with song birds so every house has multiple birds.  They also love to pamper and handle the birds and frequently take them out of their cages.  All birds are capable of being infected with this new flu strain and the CDC and WHO have been screaming for over a year about how it will become a pandemic.  i.e. not IF but WHEN.

As far as I can tell from sketchy reports is that we are in stage 5 of six for a major worldwide pandemic.  Stage 5 is small pockets of human to human infection.  Stage 6 is when the virus adapts to it’s new human hosts and begins spreading faster.  The bird flu has spread all over southeast asia and Russia and probably part of western europe.  So if the disease can still be spread by birds after it mutates it could freely jump bird to human and human to human rapidly.

The last time this happened millions were killed worldwide.  Let’s forget about the freaking hairy crabs and start stocking up on Tamiflu right now!  Congress just passed a spending bill devoting $4 billion to the CDC and other research labs to create a vaccine and treatments for the new virus (H5N1) to be ready when a major outbreak occurs.
