  1. Actually the kid with the toy gun - is one of the few - where I think that the cops acted wrong. He shot within a second of the car stopping. But yes, the orange tip had been removed, so that adds to the situation - but still, a kid needs more than a second to be able to comply with the screaming orders being screamed at him by a guy still in his car (or not - hard to tell in the video) - it all happens way too fast.

And, liberal ‘reporter’ - there is a difference between a cop and a police department appointed (not self-appointed) Neighborhood Watch person. FL does have a concealed carry law - and a stand your ground law. And yes - you spelled Trayvon correctly.

Much like the death penalty is still legal in America.

I just wish it was carried out more often.

Last week Glenn Beck read the names of those blacks killed in Chicago - most by shooting - which considering Chicago has the strictest gun laws in America - shows how worthless gun control laws are. Most especially when they aren’t enforced at all. Like the fact that in 2010 - 48,000 people (felons and fugitives) were denied gun purchases - but only 44 were prosecuted. Simply another sad way our laws aren’t enforced and the criminal element simply walks away to commit more crime.

And yet it is innocent blacks being killed by racist whites.

Man - some days I really would like to have that power - because most days I feel useless and powerless and like the world is running over me. And I suspect that 90% of the world’s people feel that way most days too.

No matter what their race, gender, color, religion, nation or economic status.

  2. The kid shot by the cops, within half a second of their arrival on the scene, who had a “toy” gun was using an Airsoft (super realistic) BB gun with the orange tip bit removed. There is no assumption any longer that a 10 or 12 year old kid is out in public with a toy. Toy guns are far rarer than they used to be back in our day, and the Airsoft ones are very close to real. Point that at a cop, guess what happens? Point that at me, guess what happens?

  3. Must admit, I couldn’t answer that first question either.

  4. As for fake guns having a colored tip. Not so. I’ve got a fake UZI battery-powered squirt gun. It looks real from a distance. I only use it at Halloween parties when I’m pretending to be your basic Arab terrorist. Picked up the pajamas in Karachi Pakistan way back in my Navy days. They still fit! Admittedly my squirt gun pre-dates all the insanity about guns.
