Somalia Update: End Game

 

1. OK, we’re all familiar with the concept of “spin” right? 

   Consider some of the bits of info, for example, the people of the Ras Kamboni.  Some “local terrorists” invited Al Qaeda to use it for a base and the local villagers were “taxed”.  Any thoughts how those taxes were collected and how much the villagers might like Al Qaeda?  Then you might consider the plight of the herdsmen, their families and their flocks who were killed.  “Dozens” of them in the same valley as the fleeing Islamists by the report - so closely mingled with the Islamists that they were all gunned down.  Anyone think that the Islamists might have been using them for human shields or cover?  Just how big is this valley and how did (by implication) “dozens” of herders, their families and their flocks manage to be close enough to the Islamist column to be completely wiped out?  True collateral damage, premeditated on the part of the gunship pilots, exaggeration by the Islamist reporting, or a combination of all the above?  No one who hasn’t personally witnessed the entire action and/or investigated the area will ever know the complete truth.

   Somalia is a pitiful and dangerous situation for all concerned (except the Islamists - I consider them dangerous vermin to be exterminated).  At this point, not only are reports limited to the point of view of the observer (blind men and the elephant), but I’d say many are spun as well.  Filtering the information to determine what is actually happening is a long process, complicated by the bias of the person comparing the reports.

   Finally, as to the Anglos - every family, every society breeds a very few sick individuals that turn completely against their society or family.  John Walker Lindh comes to mind here.

2. Reminds me of that line from Monty Python...What’s brown and sounds like a bell? Dung! This story has the same odour of BS. As for the white guy from Sweden. Well it could be another Wanker Lindh but personally I think it is horseshit cooked up by a moonbat. I take it this “reporter” didn’t have any duty free on him otherwise the cab driver would have refused to give him a lift ho, ho, ho.

4. All I can say is

   What comes round, goes round.... We gotcha, ya fargin’ heathen iceholes.

   Revenge is sweet, but payback is a real bitch!  Remember “Blackhawk Down?  Now it’s al-qaeda down, down, down and down again, in perpetuity.
