So, You Want HillaryCare?

 

1. One does not have to look abroad to understand the failures of socialized medicine, one only needs to look at how government currently runs Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs, military hospitals and low income treatment facilities to understand putting the entire health care system under government control is just plain idiotic.

   The government has proven to be an incompetent overlord of large government programs (i.e.  Social Security), why would anyone trust it with health care, 1/3 the US economy?

   How will inefficient minded bureaucrats going to lower health care costs? The answer is simple, tax the shit out of the middle class.

3. Personally, I’ve nothing but praise for the VA system, but then I’ve only been an outpatient so far. And a volunteer. Never an in-patient.

   My question is: if we do end up with ‘single-payer’ gov’t health care, does that mean that all malpractice suits will be filed against the Gov’t? Any bets that tort reform would soon follow?

   I recall several years ago during the first HillaryCare fiasco. I was listening to a union talk show out of Cincinnati. A caller was griping that he couldn’t afford his father’s health insurance. I remember yelling at the radio: “I can’t afford YOUR father’s health insurance either.” Hope you get my point.

4. I saw Jabba The Hutt, Michael Moore, on Jay Leno the other night touting how great the Canadian Health Care system is. 

   I have family that lives in the Buffalo, NY area.  They go to Canada for cheap prescription drugs and Canadians come to the US for good health care without the long wait.
