2. OK… Let me get this straight.

   Sailors.  On the beach.  Nothing to maintain.  No base to guard, not a ship to go patrol in. 

   Involved in a ‘battle’ with drugs and prostitutes… No chance of corruption there!

   Jaysus! It’s the comedic farce screenplay of the year!  Abu Al-Mikhail’s Navy!

3. In one sense this is funny, in another, it’s scary.  Hamas is building for a future of their making.  They are forming the nucleus of a government and military, even if so much of it is make believe.  In some ways, it reminds me of the Israeli Air Force in its early days, when legend has it, all they had was a Piper Cub.

   Don’t forget, that Hamas does not limit their activities to Gaza.  They are present and active all over the Mid East.  Smash them now or have a major fight later - those are the only 2 options.  Today, their only obvious targets are the Israelis.  Later, how about Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Kuwait, Dubai, Indonesia and every other country with a significant Islamic population.

   Of course, they could come into conflict with Hizb Allah (aka Hezbolla, aka “The Party of God") and that would be an interesting conflict in its own right.  Don’t forget though, we’d still have to fight the victor.  Like all Islamofascists, they have an intrinsic belief that the world will and must belong to them.

   Get ready folks, this one’s gonna be nasty.

4. How long before Iran sells them one of their old WWII surplus boats.. Better yet, there are many countries willing to sell off old destroyers, frigates, what have you for a song. All they need is enough cash. Then again, they also need experienced sailors… I’m sorry, but years clocked on one of those infamous ‘ships of the desert’ don’t count. boys and girls.

   If Iran’s navy is any indicator, I wouldn’t buy any of their ships for scrap metal..
