  1. Question:  If we are so concerned about Child Protective Services run wild, then why no comment on the Child Protective Services raid in Texas?  400+ children rounded up because of thought crimes (no, after nearly 90 days no one has found an abuse crime) should cause us to all rise up and shout.

    However, I’m not hearing anything.

  2. I want to know how you get an 1890 on the SAT when a perfect score is a 1600.

Or did they go and change the damn test again, giving it higher numbers to make kids feel better? When I took the thing back in 1976 a 1200 was considered a damn good score.

  3. “The school has a responsibility of forcing a parent to attend to a child’s education,” said Bronx Science Principal Valerie Reidy. “I’m sorry this family’s lives were thrown into upheaval, but my job is to protect the children in my school.”

Umm, no.  The principal’s authority ends and schools front door.  The principal’s job is to provide a quality learning environment with appropriately credentialed teachers.  The principal/school does not have the authority or responsibility to “force a parent” to do ANYTHING.

  4. Exactly right Guido. And I saw your post at the “other” place peiper. Well spoken there as well.

  5. That would be Texas and their Child Protective Services raid on the YFZ ranch in Eldorado TX.  It’s approaching 90 days since a fake phone call touched off the largest child custody case in United States history and there have been no arrests or indictments other than Rozita Swinton (By Colorado) and two FLDS men for essentially resisting the invasion of their homes.

The “Grand Jury” met yesterday all day and still could not come up with anyone to indict.  That sort of misbehavior merits some sort of outrage on our parts, but it’s evaporated from liberal press coverage and conservative press coverage.  Only a few blogs follow it and Texas is still trying to cook up something to get these people with.  It’s a travesty, and it’s a travesty that is going on largely unnoticed.

  6. This is why one never allows these jackboots into their homes.

“Come back with a warrant, until then bugger-off.”

  7. I’ve been here nearly every day peiper, I’ve just been quiet in the background observing. And doing a little bit of blogging, nothing like you guys! But, to the subject at hand. As I said above, this was total bull feces, and needs to be pressed in court. See DD above.
