  1. JayD you probably didn’t watch it but BBC question time last night (you can catch it on iPlayer) had the likely next leader of the Labour Party (Alan Johnson) they call him Postman Pat as he was a former postman and former leader of the Communication Workers Union. What a chump he is. If that’s they best Labour can do they are finished.

I think the strike is a mistake and will do irreparable harm to the Royal Mail. It’s a shame as they used to do a good job and have been undermined by EU rules forcing them to sell off the profitable parts of their business. This was something that one of the other panelists (Nigel Farage UKIP leader) pointed out and something the main parties don’t want to talk about.

  2. I knew a few posties in cornwall, dont fret they dont work long or hard any more (what union shirker does) My first job was in Post office telecoms, I was bullied (at 16 and not so confident) into joining the effin union but despite 2 large thuggish union areseholes I was damned if I would pay one halfpenny to their political branch. UKIP are correct, the EU is part of the problem as the letters were allways subsidised by the rest but the unions must take the grand prize in killing the Royal Mail. How stupid does one need to be to pay these thugs to bankrupt your employer? No one involved with a union should be allowed to breed (or breathe)

  3. Hang on, two posts in one day that both converge on Southhampton? Coincidence or not?

  4. Pelper, I take it that this thing called the Internet is somehow not available for paying said bill? Yes, I suppose using any newfangled contraption like that, or FedEx or UPS to circumvent the Holy Union has already been outlawed. If not, some EU dick smoker in Brussels will take care of that in short order. It reminds me of the Amish around here--do you have to make your own clothes too?
