Six dead in US consulate attack in Istanbul

 

1. Just so we all agree on what has happened:

   1.  There was an armed attack on a United States consulate, essentially an attack on the United States.

   2.  The attackers were bearded men with long hair; presumed to be terrorists, but otherwise unidentified so far.

   3.  The attackers killed three Turkish policemen in the attack.

   Now a couple questions:

   Has the White House issued a statement or comment?

   Has Senator McCain been briefed about this?  Has Senator McCain issued a statement or comment?

   Has Senator Obama been briefed about this?  Has Senator Obama issued a statement or comment?

   With the election coming up, I’d like to know what each candidate thinks is a proper response.  Let’s see what the ‘media’ does in this regard.
