  1. the “repasado” kind of tequilla doesn’t give you quite as much of a hangover as the regular stuff. A mere 24 hours of Hell, instead of the usual 36 hours.

My New Year’s Eve partying will be done at home, perhaps with a beer or two, or maybe with a Bulleit Manhattan. I’ll probably make some pork rib ends on the grill, if we catch a break on this snowstorm moving through. Crivens, it’s friggin’ COLD out, even though the weather folks say it’s 29. Maybe the high humidity makes it worse ... we’ve got the kind of chill going on that cuts right through your clothes like a knife, straight to the bone. Brr.

  3. My present to myself this year ( Yes, I am a new years baby) was to lose a crown on a molar and try to find a dentist to fix it before the 1st.No such luck. I hope this isn’t a harbinger for 2014 or my life is gonna suck hard.CHEERS ALL!

  4. Nah, you can live without them for a few days if you can keep washing it with alcohol.

But I do think that hospitals have emergency dentists, don’t they?

  5. I don’t do ERs. I actually have been waiting for this tooth to crater as the tooth was cracked after the crown was installed 20 years ago( Jackass Dentist). But is had a sharp edge that was cutting into my tongue(Argh)so I did what I always do which in this case used a small detail file in my tool kit to file down the sharp edges till I can see an oral surgeon in the near future and jank the dang thing.

  6. Happy New Year to everyone here.

Rich - good luck with the tooth - thus far (knock wood) I’ve avoided much beyond two afternoon long sessions to extract wisdom teeth - they cracked into dozens of little pieces and of course, braces - which caused my first filling. Even though my teeth look horrid (Mom took tetracycline while preggos) my teeth have been lined since they came in - but they are hardy little things (which both boys got, the girls - not so much).
