Yes it is so bad here that hubby applied to the local EPA and I applied to the local VA - so far no response for either of us - seems a lot of gov ‘jobs’ are closing without hiring - hmm I wonder why? Oh yeah, no money any more.
We shall see - our youngest who started college again on the 22nd (licensure to teach) - just got an interview with Target. Oh well, maybe living with us for a few more years, she can pay off a bit of her loans.
We on the other hand are still fighting with Sallie Mae to ‘prove’ the negative of not being employed (and not being qualified for unemployment) to pay on their loans.
What can I say - life is sucking big time - and will get worse when Obamacare fully kicks in. Who knows what the straw was that tipped everything to socialist and pc police crazy.
Local tv are boo hoo hooing a woman whose son died after being shot by a police officer - seems she lost two sons to shooting - and doesn’t seem to grasp that this last one was 16, had no ID on him but was identified by his fingerprints in the system for juvenile crime who was shooting at cops - is HIS fault at all.
Since the cops tased a guy at UC this summer - who died - I guess the city cops will be using batons - oh wait they took those away a long time ago - whistles maybe - to die in the line of duty when these ‘babies’ (what she keeps calling him) shoot back.
Believe me Drew, an entry level job at $7.25/hr would be nice here - keep worrying that the van at 11 years with 140,000+ on it will die soon. And we don’t have the money to even fix something now - much less be able to buy something else.
Oh yeah - so these jobs are much like the moronic suggestion to ‘hire’ people to dig ditches, then fill them in - so that they would be ‘productive’.
If these are liberals ideas of ‘productive’ and ‘jobs’ - well then I think we have found the problem.
The blind (or in this case stupid) are leading the blind(stupid).

When I was dead broke I became a mechanic out of necessity. Used to be you could take a Chevy apart with a 9/16” wrench. Probably need a 12mm these days, and half the things that could go wrong will be computer related. Still, you can do most normal repairs in your driveway, from new belts right up to a valve job. Especially if you have plenty of time on your hands.
20 million dollars divided by 14 jobs equals ~1.5mil/job. I guess we now know why most of those jobs were “administrative”.
