(or you can just slightly blur the background in Photoshop.)
TimO ...I don’t have Photoshop but I am curious as I’m a bit of a novice with that technology. How would you “blur” the background without doing the same to the foreground?
I just know the answer will be a simple one. Usually is and then I think, oh. Yeah.
I have GIMP which I’ve never learned my way around fully, and FastStone. And Photoscape which is pretty easy and sort of my speed. Have lots to learn and it ain’t always easy.
Drew ... That is a great shot and she looks familiar.
To blur the background you would have to trace the foreground image and mark it as being separate. Then you apply the blur to everything else. Simpler tool like gimp may make you do a cut and paste where you’d snip out the foreground, wash a blur onto everything else, then paste the foreground back in.
Most of us don’t have actual Photoshop. It’s quite expensive. I get by with the Macromedia suite of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Freehand. I got them a decade ago at a scholastic price, and they’re good enough for me.

Ha. Drew make funny joke on peiper. GIMP? A simple tool?
Oh sure. For you maybe. lol. One of these days thing’ll come together and I’ll grasp the ungraspable. Did I just coin a new word? I really hope it’ll be in my own lifetime tho.
