Did he leave the keys to the liquor cabinet or are you gonna shoot the lock off?
God, I need a drink!
Thank’s for the trivia, the day hath not been wasted!
I knew the Brits had the rum ration, I was aboard one of their ships after it was cut, they weren’t happy about it and I knew their forebearers weren’t happy about the rum ration being watered down but I didn’t know the rest of that stuff.
I got a little “unsteady” on Scotch Ale on that little lunchtime excursion to <i>HMS Lowestoft<i>. The Brits saved up their ration and would blow it partying when they hit port, unless there was an excuse underway. I believe that a bright sunny day was excuse enough. The Dutch, on the other hand, seemed to be half blasted all the time. They’d also help us smuggle the occasional case of beer aboard. STANAVFORLANT (NATO) cruises were a lot of fun.
Dad’s gone-WOO-HOO!
*lets all the cats she’s been hording out of their hiding places*
Actually one of those cats would look just ADORABLE curled up in Dad’s pink recliner.
*looks terribly innocent*
Looks like it might be time to check this reference.
Hmm, #120 seems appropriate. Two birds with one stone and all that.
Today is my b-day............My special friend & I had dinner & then “played” last night & all day today ........use your imagination!!
This afternoon I picked up my granddaughter for the weekend - we will have such fun - Saturday we will take in a program on butterflies at my local Wild Bird Center (she loves butterflies as much as I do) & then spend the afternoon at the subdivision pool, then have a barbecue............Can’t think of a better way to spend my b-day weekend than with my special Helena.............
Happy Birthday, Dottie. Many happy returns of the day.
Enjoy building memories with your granddaughter. It’s a gift for each of you.
okay some serious stuff here...not even my blog, but take a look at Captain’s Quarters...seems the FEC and the courts just did a knife job on the first amendment...guess the fifth wasn’t enough for them.
Just to be helpful I’ll post a link to Captain’s Quarters blog in the unlikely event that everyone doesn’t already have a shortcut or bookmark to it.
Scroll down, the post is about the DC circus circuit court’s 2-1 decision to uphold the ruling that blogs come under the McCain-Feingold travesty.
This Will Not Stand.
Happy Birthday Dottie!
That was a little too much information ‘bout you and the boyfriend though.
*sort of smiles & squirms*
Maybe they enjoy cribbage, Barb, or backgammon or somethin’
Stin - than you very much........Helena & I enjoyed the butterfly program at the Wild Bird Center for ...........about 35 minutes - that’s as long as a 3 year old’s attention span is right now...........but that’s ok - It doesn’t hurt to introduce her to activities that her Grandmother enjoys- she does help me in my butterfly garden, she helps to fill the bird feeders & now can name some of the birds that come to visit the feeders................We went to the subdivision pool this afternoon - she call’s it D’s pool - she calls me “D” instead of Grandma, which is fine with me...........I can’t tell you enough how much this little girl means to me - I never thought I would feel such love for a grandchild.......
OCM - no picture’s of me & K.............
Barb- not as graphic as the one who has been banned from the blog.......
Stin - yeah right - cribbage or backgammon..........
Boy, do I love you guys!!!!!!!!
