  1. Reality, what a concept.  For counterpoint to TNR and their kin, try Michael Yon.  The man has literally been on the ground for years in Iraq.  Is anyone in the mainstream using his stuff?  It really gets me in the gut to think that Democrats and the MSM are intentionally screwing us up by hiding and distorting the truth, but I’m having trouble finding any other conclusion.  Whether I agree with an administration or not, I’m an American first.  I will not give aid and comfort to our enemies.

  2. This is sooo 6 weeks ago. Is the VRWC that good? Ah I get it, the TNR transcript is the new bit. Oh Ok. So it wasn’t a story when the Army released its report - they can’t be trusted. By a transcript of an evesdropping session at a far left magazine? Yeah, that makes it news.

Well let’s see what happens now. Even the lefties visit Drudge. But his site seems to have about 200 stories covered, so I’m not expecting this to hit tonight’s ABC News. Or ever, actually.

Ha! Drudge leads with the story that CBS has learned that the fires in California were caused by arson. I don’t get it ... this is what I heard on TV several days ago when they first started. Why is it news only now? And start thinking about it now folks, when it turns out that the arsonist’s name is Mohammed. Or someJuan connected to La Raza.

  3. As twitchy as I am on the subject of Islamic terrorists, it’s pretty unlikely that they’re involved with the fires.  Same goes for illegal immigrants.  This just isn’t they’re style.  Lightening strikes and downed power lines account for the “naturally” occuring fires with fire bugs and the occasional accident accounting for the rest.

I’ve lived in So. Cal. pretty much all of my life.  Fires in the fall are an annual occurance.  Sometimes they are big and dramatic, other times, they’re small (if you consider 50 square miles small).  Of the fires this year, where I’ve heard a report on the cause, the initial fire in Malibu was from downed power lines, but at least one of the others was from arson.

  4. Speaking of Michael Yon - National Review on Line is carrying his articles?!?!?!  Maybe there’s hope yet.

  5. Drudge links are long gone 404’s.

  6. The TNR does not like that this has gone ‘public’ - MM, Hot air, Blackfive et al can be (and usually are) ignored by the anti-war mongering left but Drudge tends to bring things to light that the leftists would love to keep quiet. And I do believe that it is because both sides check Drudge as opposed to the other sites.

This guy was doing exactly what the wife wanted and TNR requested - I guess that they really didn’t think anyone with military experience would actually read it and guestion the validity of his ‘tales’.

What name can we come up with for PVT Beauchamp - he isn’t a Phony Soldier, but he played one in TNR!

  7. Personally, I think he should be branded a traitor, just like John Kerry was, for depicting U.S. Soldiers as lawless animals.
