Sex change Paratrooper wins £250,000 for ‘hurt feelings’

 

1. Just a funny story for peiper…

   I was in a Tijuana titty bar in 1985.

   This was long before the term ‘transgendered’ was coined. A lot of the ‘girls’ in this bar were ‘transgendered’.

   But there was no cover, the beer was cheap, and not all of the girls were ‘transgendered’.

   So, while I’m at the bar, doing my best imitation of a sailor-on-shore-leave, (which was easy, as that was what I was) a Brit takes the barstool next to me.

   After much innocuous conversation, he turned to the real reason he was here...he wanted a girl.

   “This is not the bar if you want a girl.” I said.

   “Why not?” Brit asked.

   “Because most of these ‘girls’ aren’t, if you know what I mean.” I said.

   He seemed to think about that, and at that point I had to relieve myself of the six or so Corona’s I’d drunk. When I returned he had a bemused look on his face.

   “I thought abou’ what you said,” he said.

   “Yeah?” I said.

   “She wanted me to go home with her,” he said.

   “And,” I encouraged.

   “I reached between her legs and found a large package. I just squeezed.” he said. “She left quickly.”

   Now, you have to imagine this being said with an English accent. Hilarious!

   So, this Brit believed me now. We spent the rest of the evening visiting heterosexual-friendly bars. This was easy since he had brought his car through the border.

   I still feel bad. See, I’d brought my own car across the border before. I ‘neglected’ to tell him of the total cavity search he would be subjected to when he took his car back to the US. Or the several-hour line…

2. Is this the beginning of the end when the mentally ill get paid to be sick? What a load of crap (and I bet that the soldiers - wounded or not) are really upset about this little payoff.

3. I wonder a little if the trans surgery was planned all along, or just making the best of a bad situation in an odd way. IEDs can blow off more than hands and legs you know.
