It is amazing--and significant--how many of these people got old without maturing.
Social Security—I Got Mine!
Sorry ‘bout youse guys....
Another three years, four months and nineteen days to go…
OCM: Us ‘pre-Boomers’ felt like surfers while going thru school. My Senior class had 102 students. There were 250 Freshman
I called my mother a “baby boomer” once.
She went ballistic.
My parents-born in ‘42 and ‘44 respectively-were WAR babies thank you.
the Husband was born in ‘59 so TECHINICALLY he IS a boomer-but he’s got more in common with the older/mid Gen “X” ers...like me-born in 1970.
.....And next month Ted Kennedy will be 74.
Alas, Mary Jo Kopechne would have been 66 this year.
My dad is a war baby (born in 1943), and my mom is on the younger end of the baby-boomer spectrum (1957).
I’m sorry, but I can’t think of my parents as “old”. They’re my mom and dad. My father is old enough to receive Social Security, but doesn’t want to, and my mom will qualify in HOW LONG?! FOURTEEN YEARS?
Scary thought.
Hell man, I never expected to see 30 and went a bit wacky at 40. Dunno what’ll happen at 50 or 60.
Personally as a 40 year old I’ll be glad when the media stops slobbering over the “boomers”
