What’s scary is that of the two Democratic Senators from West Virginia, Rockefeller is the better of the two ... which isn’t saying much since the other is Bobby “KKK” Byrd.
OCM, it’s the American people and the American way of life against the mindless idiots in the Democratic Party. The Republicans are just a minor nuisance at this point.
It doesn’t matter what the Senator did. Haven’t any of you been paying attention?
The only thing that ever gets a Senator into trouble is messing with the “collegial atmosphere of the Senate”. Then somebody decides you have committed some financial offense. That’s important, not piddly shit like National Security.
A Senator gives away info that we are going to invade Iraq. No foul here. Nothing’s happening. These aren’t the droids you’re looking for. Move along.
A senator gives away info that we are tracking bin Laden’s cell phone. Hello can anyone hear me? Nope, guess not.
A Senator gives away that we have secret prisons where we are trying to stop another 911. A problem...nope.
A senator is one of the guiding lights, the “conscienceof the Senate” who is one of the best recruiters for the KKK. An issue for anyone...anyone...bueller?
Hell, a Senator gets drunk, crashes his car and leaves his pregnant girlfreind to drown in the car and he is the great man of the institution!!!! WTFO!!!!
If I had a wish that I could change 911 (if I couldn’t stop it from happening!!!) it would be for that plane to have hit the Senate instead of the Pentagon. There were patriots and irreplaceable Americans in the Pentagon. There is no one worth saving in the Senate. Better off for all of us if they were all gone.
Just S.O.P. for the Party of Treason. What other subversive activity continues even as we speak?
I heard Rockey interviewed about the whole pre-war Bush-lied, etc line of unreasoning. His answer was, essentially, that the President has 24-7 access to all the intell and that the Senate Intelligence Committee has to look at stuff in a little secure room, soooooo, the problem is that the Senators did not have enough access to info. Wait, whoa, I thought Bush HID info! Rockey simply admitted that it was too incomvenient for them to review it all and come to an INFORMED decision to send troops to war.
Hmmmmm, maybe he had better things to do like help the Grand Kleagal get more of the nearly highest amount of federal $$$ per-capita for lil’ ol Wist Verginny.
I’m thinking that Alaska’s Ted Stevens is looking to surpass Byrd as the King of Pork. Look at the last Highway Bill.
Wallace asked Rocky if he wasn’t responsible for his vote to go to war. His answer: “NO”. He went on with some yadda yadda trying to explain his answer away, but he’s somenow not responsible for something that he voted for.
The problem with most of these Senators is that they are believing their own PR and consider themselves to be above the law. They can often act to protect themselves and each other to make that a fact.
Remember the Bolton hearings when they were discussing a CIA analyst by a pseudonym and two of the Senators blurted out the real name? (First a Dem did it followed immediately by a Rep) Nobody jumped them for “outing” this analyst. Where’s the special prosecutor and the grand jury? Hello?
Some
are truly more equal than others.
Aside from the mind numbing stupidity of the disclosures in the first place, one really must ask if there isn’t an inbreeding thing going on with the overly wealthy and Senate seats. You have to be congenitally stupid to cop to this. On television. I mean, really. Did he star in “Deliverance”?
I doubt that it was unintentional. Political ideology comes before country with some of these @$$hats and Rocky is certainly one of them. How about revolking his breathing license? A nicely tied rope and a nearby tree might accomplish that to everyone’s satisfaction. Seems to me it used to be a traditional cure for traitors. Some traditons need to be revived. The sooner the better.
Another limousine liberal who has no real world connections serving the “higher good”. Bah!
