How damn large is the civil service sector in Britain for god sake?. From all the things you show regulated and monitored and investigated Im surprised there are any private employees in Britain anymore.Must be a least 10 who actually produce something to tax to support this albatross.
Ah, you’ve got it Rich. Bugs the hell out of the wife too. She says those folks need a full time day job but of course you’ll always vote the party that supplies make work jobs.
Anyway ... seems (almost) like everyone is on the govt. payroll.
But to answer your question ...HUGE! And if Lyndon sees this he’d be in a better position to answer the question fully as he actually had a REAL job in govt. agency.

Peiper I think I have responded in another article above. Rich K I don’t know the exact figures for the Civil Service but I do know it has ballooned under the socialists. Oh and they get a gold plated index linked pension scheme too. The thing is in Britain the socialists are control freaks and have brought in reams of new laws. All these laws mean more scumbag lawyers and more police tied up in police stations filling out bullshit forms instead of catching criminals. I worked for immigration and they expanded from hundreds of immigration officers in 1997 to thousands under Labour. This happened because Labour brought in bullshit human rights laws (because the EU told them too) so illegal immigrants flooded in and used these new laws to prevent their deportation. A vicious circle and something seemingly replicated in all walks of life. The dead hand of the EU is everywhere in Britain these days and it all leads to an army of deadbeats on the government payroll.
