2. WTF? Marigolds are AWESOME. No muss, no fuss, LOVE full sun, hardy as hell, and if I remember right, they attract butterflies. My parents used to plant them in pots out in front of the house and we’d joke that even dog piss wouldn’t kill them (cause the pots were just the right height for this one Doberman we had when I was a kid that he thought they were his very own fire hydrant)

   We just planted some knock out roses in this little spot in front of our house. One drink of Miracle Gro and a few bouts of rain later and they’re taking off.

3. Does she have a yard with anything growing in it? If so might I would suggest a judicious application of weed-be-gone - perhaps spelling out her name.
