  1. Drew:  I’m betting there are still some good parents in England, who are quietly raising their kids right, and are doing their best to keep them and theirs off the Nanny Government’s radar.  They’re probably also in the minority anymore.

Side-note:  This YouTube Video (Facebook Parenting: For the troubled teen) is worth all 8 minutes and 23 seconds.  (2,892,928 views in 2 days?  Wow.)

  2. Drew ....

Southampton is a city in the county of Hampshire.
    btw… for our readers.

The abbreviation for Hampshire is ..... Hants.

    Go figure.

Also, unless Lyndon corrects me it is my understanding that a town is a place without a cathedral.  Southampton like Winchester, are cathedrals cities.

  3. See, I knew there was some significant reason. No cathedrals. On the counties map, Southampton does seem to be a district with a footprint somewhat larger than the city proper. Perhaps it includes the suburban area as well?

AG Tiger - I’m sure there are, though this story makes it feel like this whole generation is already lost.

  4. Drew: Indeed it does.  I’m just trying to maintain some hope for the good members of said generation.

I hope the good ones can out-think, out-perform, out-maneuver, and if necessary, out-shoot the bad ones when the time comes…
