  1. The fact that there are people out there who actually think like this hag is scarey. “Mother” Sheehan makes me sick, though she does have one use I can think of: Evidence that far-left liberalism is a mental disorder.

Yeah, its CRAZY that the US has nuclear weapons, and Jesus was a war monger. What an ignoramus.

    wtf

  2. If Jimmy Carter hadn’t had shit-for-brains, we wouldn’t be dealing with the question of a hostile, nuclear armed Iran.  When our embassy was invaded and our people taken hostage, I’d say that was plenty of justification to send in the Air Force,Marines and 101st Airborne (also 82nd Airborne, SEALS and and any other U.S. Military in need of a bit of exercise).  Because Carter emulated Chamberlain and tried to appease the Ayatola (sp?)(Skipper, how about a spell checker?), We get to deal with the crap 30 years later, when we’re preoccupied with Iraq and a global Islamic conspiracy to destroy us.  Hopefully, we’ll be able to arrange for a proxy military (Israel? Pakistan? India?) to do our work for us.  If not, we’re going to have to go in ourselves.  Does anyone really believe that the Iranian government is doing anything with their negotiations other than buying time?

I’m a vetran of the 60’s anti war movement.  To all Military Vetrans, their family and friends reading this, I must apologize for the offensive actions and words of some of my compatriots at the time.  I promise you that I never spit on anyone (literally or figuratively), nor called anyone a baby killer.

What the experience did teach me is that the anti war movement was not monolithic.  Some of the people did have a serious moral problem with our involvement in Viet Nam.  Many simply did not want to serve in Viet Nam and many others (the majority, I think) were simply looking for a socially acceptable way to run crazy in the streets.  There was also a tiny minority that were simply anti U.S.  They were tolerated, but not loved by the rest of us.  The great irony is that that tiny minority from 40 years ago now seem to have been accepted as mainstream liberals.  Mother (gag) Sheehan is just another publicity seeking wacko who is trying to find meaning for her life by being a fool and in the process is being used by the anti U.S. arm of the “liberal” movement.  Overall, very sick, very sad and very much a problem for the rest of us.

  3. Damn, that is one serious ugly dude in that picture.

  4. With every word she utters, she continues to disgrace the grave of her son.

  5. I was thinking the same thing, Maj. Mike, except for the fact that the memory of her son seems to be completely out of the picture now. I wonder if she ever followed through with getting his grave a long-overdue headstone. Somehow I think not. I guess it doesn’t matter anymore now that she’s “famous”.

  6. Now that she’s kissed up to Chavez, perhaps it’s time for her to go to Teheran and put her a** in the air so Ahmadinnerjacket can ram it in her! All for the name of peace. At any cost.

  7. I fear that Cindy Sheehan and those of similar bent won’t “get it” until a U.S. city gets vaporized.  And I sometimes wonder if even THAT will be enough to pull these people away from their personal agendas...and focus on the real threats to global peace.
    shut eye

  8. Jester, No she has not gotten her son a gravestone - her ‘reasons’: he was sent home in a cardboard box and in the hold of an airplane - >Casey was treated as an over-sized piece of luggage<

[see http://www.michaelmoore.com/mustread/index.php?id=627 for the whole whinny excuse]

I got her “book” from the public library (my family worried that either I was losing my mind or would explode from the reading of it). Don’t even bother getting it - it is her blogs from the Michael Moore’s website on her stunt in Crawford. [which I’d already read]

You know while in college, I worked in the state mental hospital. One of the patients spent every day reliving a trial (she wasn’t a patient we were working with, so we weren’t privy to the exact details) - she had every second down to memory and you could tell (even though a lot wasn’t clear verbalization) when she changed from a lawyer, witness or the judge. Point here - I wondered what would make a person dwell to the point of a wasted life on one moment in their life. I never got a satisfactory answer in the college educational system which is one reason I abandoned it.

Ms Sheehan is stuck on her extreme hatred of President Bush (and disgustingly hiding it behind her ‘grief’ of her son’s death). I find the media, leftist and anti-war organizations use and abuse of this sad and pathetic person even more disgusting than her behavior - she has an apparent mental disorder - - What’s their excuse?

And yes, I now realize that even if my son (and all of those who went over the berm in March 2003) had been gassed, even if Saddam and OBL stood up and in clear, precise English said that their goal in life is the destruction of the USA, even if we find the WMD hidden in Iraq or Syria—Ms Sheehan and her ilk still will find a reason to screed about President Bush and the War in Iraq.

The only reason she and the garbage see the light of day is that most of the media is right there with them.

  9. Dr Jeff - I am going to show my age (and my ignorance here) by mentioning that when the movie Miracle came out a few years ago about the 1980 US Hockey Team I rented a documentary about the team while I waited for the movie to be finished.  I had never heard this story.  I would have been 8 at the time, so I suppose I should have remembered it, but didn’t.  I just found it fascinating.  ANYWAY....I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears as I watched the documentary.  Of course, the first bit was setting up the social context in particular the Iran Hostage crises but also the economic situation.  I was absolutely ashamed and embarrassed that I was looking at my great country.  I couldn’t believe this had happened in my lifetime.  Just unreal.  I am still not sure I understand why we simply just didn’t kick a** and free the hostages right at the get go?!?!

You might try http://www.iespell.com - just to answer your query on a spell check - not because I think you need it.

  10. She fears this could lead to a world war.

Am I the only one who realizes that we’re already in World War 3 here?  We’re fighting a war against terrorism, which has strongholds all over the world… it’s us and our allies against them.  In essence, the whole world is at war here.  Does this idiot not realize we’re already in the war she fears?  We’re looking at the option of attacking Iran specifically so it doesn’t escalate to nuclear warfare!

I realize everyone here already knows this.  I’m just venting my frustration over this mo-ron.

  12. Of course we’re fatter bulldog - we are not tofu eating, soy guzzling Kalifornia crazies.

    crazy

[And my true appologies to all who are fine upstanding residents {permenent and temp} of the wonderful state of California - I lived there for 3 years, always said San Francisco was the most beautiful city in America, just populated by the weirdest people on the face of the earth - and for one of the most breathtaking views - try Big Sur. With the military bases in California and a few of the great people I know, that not all in the Golden State are looney tunes]

  13. What I think is incredible here is the blatant arrogance of the Iranians, and my personal beliefs as to what fuels their arrogance: People like Cindy Sheehan. They see our desenters and anti-war critics all over the mainstream news, I’m sure. They way the media portrays it, we’re all a bunch of pantywaists, and don’t have the stomach to defend ourselves.

In essence, the left is responsible for this. From the Carter administration, to the current left-wing “hate America first” crowd, their actions embolden the enemy. Seriously, we have what, 150,000 battle-ready troops mere MILES from the Iranian border? And they STILL thumb their noses at us?!? Tell me thats not a product of the media, celebrity political hacks (OMG I hate Sean Penn, et al) and celebrity wanna-be’s (a la ‘Mother’ Sheehan)?

OH how I wish we had politicians with the guts to re-enact the sedition laws in this country!

Hat tip to Bulldog, thanks mate and God Bless the Queen too.

  14. Bulldog, aren’t all Brits like George Galloway or Ken Livingstone?

    (I know you’re kidding) LOL

There ought to be some remote desert island that we could ship all these lunatics from all our countries off to and let them have at it. Televise it. “Survivor: Looney Left Island”, weeknights on FOX at 9pm ET, 6pm PT.

I’ll be glad to write the script. Let’s see. Each week they throw one member from each team into a crocodile pit. Hey! This has promise ....

  16. Bulldog:
Darlin’, we’re not all fat kiss
I happened to be in Crawford this past summer for part of the Cindy Sheet-head debacle.
I went to the You Don’t Speak For Me Cindy rally last August. It was quite interesting to see the old hippies pile in their vans and pretend that they were back in the 60’s.
No offense intended, to those of you that consider yourself an old hippie
I know that SOME of those hippies grew up, saw the error of their ways and became republicans! If not Republican, at least more conservative. clap
Damn near got arrested for crossing over to Cindy’s side of the street to take some pictures of the Gold Star families that wanted their children’s names removed from Sheet-head’s line of crosses. It was quite a zoo.
Sooner or later, ol’ Cindy is going to lose her (loosely stated) appeal.

  17. Okay, so I’m looking at Drudge and my 10 year old daughter looks over my shoulder.  She sees the advertisement for Ann Coulter’s new book and asks, “Who’s that pretty lady?” and I explained.  Then I pointed out Screechin’ Sheehan and asked what she thought of that lady?  My daughters response?  That’s a her?  pig

Posted by Beccayinn    United States   04/12/2006  at  11:19 PM

  18. Melissa, I went to the local YDSFM Cindy rally as they motored toward Crawford - I just wish that I could have been in Crawford and I still just want 5 minutes face to face with her.

Greg Garvey who went to Crawford to get his son’s cross (and participate with the Support the Troops/President Group) - his son was in my son’s DIV in Iraq in 2003 [SGT Justin 7/19/03]- said he was incensed over her using the crosses. He said, I think it was at the Support Rally in DC, that he had asked the Peaceniks over and over again to remove the cross because Justin believed in what he had chosen to do - and they wouldn’t so he had to go down to TX and do it himself.

Obvious that this bunch is not concerned with free public discourse and debate, the diversity of opinion that has always been a hallmark of America and simple common decency.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA !
