  1. "From what I understand, another aspect of this Lautenberg Amendment thing is that you lose your guns if a family member gets a restraining order placed on you. No trial, no actual criminal charges, no chance for you to speak up in court; restraining orders are issued without your need to be there. And your guns get taken away. Welcome to America, land of Due Process and No Excessive Punishment.”

This is not what I would call common sense law!  Gotta really wonder just what the hell is going on here, why the want for this kind of overkill.  I thought the witch trials where over.

  2. This will be interesting - it (use to, probably still is) one of the reasons that the Army dances around domestic violence (there is nothing domestic about it) - because they can’t afford to kick out so many soldiers who would no longer be able to have/handle a gun.

Yes the wonderful liberals - instead of 20/30 years ago just putting everyone involved in a fatal shooting with a gun into jail forever - they tinker with ‘social justice’ to the point that the guilty continue to run free and the innocent lose everything.

Hopefully, they will come down on the side of the Law, right, common sense, sanity and of course the Constitution.

  3. Wardmama, from what I’ve read, this law is a career killer for many guys in the Army, and on Police departments as well. Some have been fired for it, others have been kept but they are not allowed to be armed!
