  1. $12 for a copy of your birth certificate? You mean you don’t have one already? I have two or three notarized copies stashed away, just in case…

Ohio has also passed a voter ID law which took effect this year, as in this primary. Wasn’t onerous for me to carry my wallet with me. Haven’t heard that anyone has challenged the law either. Maybe they were waiting for this decision?

I’ve been a poll judge a couple of times and I can see where some people are going to be upset. See, those IDs have your address on them and your address had better match the one on the voter rolls. As a poll judge, I turned many people away for that reason. They could still vote, they just had to go downtown to the county Board of Elections to do it. See, Ohio has another law that says you have 30 days to get a new ID with your new address if you move. It’s not often enforced, but as a Republican judge in a Democrat precinct I used it with glee. cheese

  3. #2, try 20-40%. Honest voting? Drew! How dare you insinuate that our attempted benevolent masters may try to sway decisions through dishonesty?!?! Why, that would suggest that the average American doesn’t agree whole-heartedly with their socialist agenda! Gosh!
