Welcome to my world ... multiple 100+ days are common from May to Oct.
I work several months of the year in Laredo TX, on the Texas-Mexico border. In Feb. of this year the temp down there broke 100. Not usual, but not unknown.
I grew up in a house without AC (1950s - 1960s). Cars with AC were also rare. We managed by restricting daytime activity, using fans, and drinking lots of fresh lemonade. When I got older a little gin would find its way into the glass.
Having said that, however, I wouldn’t want to go back. AC is one of the seven wonders of the world.
One of the papers here is reporting a temperature of 51C in Iowa. With the humidity it must be truly dreadful. In my younger days we were “trailer trash” in Iowa with no a/c temperatures at night still in the 80’s cant say I miss that weather.
