2. I always thought it was amusing when people would pooh pooh an idea I threw into a conversation because it came from science fiction.

   Of course, the idea that it came from Doctor of Astrophysics Arthur Clarke who first conceptualized communications satellites, or Doctor of Biochemistry Isaac Asimov who first conceptualized robots and robotics, or Robert Heinlein who first conceptualized remote waldo arms(named after one of his book characters, fer Chrissake), water beds and rail guns.... nah, that doesn’t signify....
