1. Silly me but a little web search brings up this: http://www.discount-wheelchair-ramps.com/ada_modular_ramp.htm Pretty good looking and an aluminum 12 footer with hand rails is $1,003.00.  If you feel the need to do some blocking and clad the exterior for looks --- well that could add a bit more.  This was from the Onion Right? Right?

3. You look at the ramp for $1000 and think not too bad. But then I remember that the first new car I bought cost only $2500.  And it came with a V-8, power steering, automatic transmission, and a radio.
