Around here it’s “only” $2.399 for the cheapest stuff whereas my girlfriend who lives a little ways away pays just over $3.00 now per gallon for the premium gas for her Acura RSX. I’m telling ya, we need to at a minimum help the Russians pump their stuff to lower the gas prices and we really need to get ourselves off of Arab oil as soon as possible. Either that or we conquer Saudi Arabia and ship their oil out in quotas to the peaceful countries.

I’m thinking that the administration is missing a bet by being so adamant about not releasing reserves until now. You’ll note that even the promise (threat?) to release oil to the market had a good effect on the price of a barrel of oil. The speculators that have driven the price up probably shit themselves when that came out. It’s not a card that can be played very much but they could be doing a better job of suggesting that they will play it to keep some limits on the price of oil.
