Sorry Peiper, I couldn’t find any new pics of Carla, so I had to go with your #2 pinup Sarah.

1. I usually shoot straight with them and say, ”I gotta go run by myself, I’m sorry.”

   I knew that there is a reason I like this woman - she is me - ultra conservative, dedicated to family, able to do a lot (although the fishing/hunting in AK might not be my thing - anyone interested in financing a research trip for me?!?) of traditional activities and able to move into the slime of current US politics without stooping to their levels. And now, knowing she wants to run alone (I don’t run, only if my life is at risk but I do prefer to walk alone) seals the deal.

   Ah to have had that many kids and look so damn good - where ever did I fail? Oh yeah, I don’t run or field strip moose and caribou. Oh well, maybe I’ll start small - on the squirrels and birds who are circling our garden like buzzards on the scent. And start walking again.

   I did walk to Afghanistan - it was a project from one of the Marine’s wives to run (see above, I don’t run) while the 2/7 Marines were in Afghanistan (2008) - I walked almost the whole year - but quit when winter came. I don’t like to walk in the cold, or when it’s hot, or when it’s raining or when it’s snowing or on any day ending in Y. . .

   Which is probably why I’ve had the same number of kids as Sarah Palin and look like her Mother. . .

   Where ever would a non-sports dweeb pick up a copy of Runner’s World?
