  2. I don’t think that last one is from the Thailand tsunami. The trees don’t look right for Thailand. I think it’s a movie still.

  3. I remember standing in our backyard watching a tornado cross over the Ohio from KY - April 1973 - I thought it was neat as the water was literally parted (sort of like the movie image of the Red Sea) while it was crossing. Little did I know that tornado would join up with a couple of more to wipe out Xenia. Just yesterday we were in a store - that had a picture of the very same tornado as it was wreaking havoc just north of us (it touched down in a section of Green TWP).

I love amazing photographs - just make sure you have the right date/event - this tendency to lie is just making me suspect everything and everyone.

  4. You know, wardmama, we were watching this on WHIO channel 7 radar with then-weatherman Gil Whitney… The tornado on radar was making a beeline for Townview (a ‘suburb?’ of Trotwood?), saw Townview, figured it had already hit it, and swerved for Xenia.

We were concerned because we lived outside Trotwood at the time. I was 14 then.

I must correct you wardmama. It was April 3, 1974.
