  2. Not to sound dim but You Guys Have Sonic Burger?
I have never been but there is one here in Oregon(only one on the west coast) about 15 miles west of Weird Town, aka Portland.
So, my question is,Is it good or just low grade BK or Mcdoo’s?

  3. RE: Sonic - You know, I really can’t say. I went to the place once. Once. They’re open quite late, but it’s really too far out of my way for me. I had no idea of how it was supposed to work, that you pull into some parking spot and call in your order, which a carhop delivers. Plus they have 11 million different things to put on the burger or in your soda. So, not knowing, I walked inside instead and ordered a regular burger and a Coke. Guess all that razzmatazz was lost on me. I don’t remember much about the actual food. We have a Five Guys franchise nearby, and a 25 Burgers franchise as well. Five Guys really gives you a ton of food (with toppings the burger weighs a pound, has 1000 calories. 1 order of fries feeds your family), and the 25 Burgers place gives you a really tasty burger that’s more than large enough. Both are locally (in)famous. This is the first and only Sonic place I’ve ever seen.

Wish we had a Popeye’s chicken, or even a KFC instead. Only place to get fried chicken around here is either heat lamp table stuff from the grocery store or crispy wings from the Chinese take out.

  4. Can’t comment on burgers but we do have a Mcdees only a couple miles down the road in Winchester. I think they have burger king in this country somewhere. Anyway, in Calif. we enjoyed this place ... really , really good, and better then the col. Of course, that’s a matter a taste and I did like both but favored The Crazy Chicken below.

  5. Sonic in TX was good - I miss it. We found one locally - and they messed up the order (badly) - the Vanilla coke did not taste any different, they have no clue about a proper chicken strip dinner (gravy is a MUST) and two of us (chicken eaters) got a touch of food poisoning.

Now Five Guys - Yummy to the max - as it’s made when you order it. And yes an order of fries can feed the family.

As to the ‘taxation w/o representation’ - DC was NOT meant to be a ‘city’ - it was meant to be the Nations Capital - so yes, Drew I agree with you. Portion it off until down to the central hub and get rid of this movement to create another NYC/Detroit/Chicagostyle - entitlement rich, Dem run, pension overloaded, taxpaying sucking disaster.
