  1. I’ve read most of this series too… After a while, it gets to the point where you really have to know history to enjoy the story. Same thing happens to me with Turtledove’s alternate history yarns. Anyway, Flint’s blatant leftie bias put me off a bit.

    Lots of guns and naval stories

    As a project manager - always lots of things to learn about how do you go about starting from a tiny base, where everything is interconnected…

    And the Barbies are teaching us all about finance.
    (how to turn a rare item (barbie doll) and its cash into future earnings (without taking ownership of the holy roman empire along the way… (when you are cash rich and they are not ...) wink
