Holy crap, it’s like a movie of ‘hate crimes’!
Looking at the money people (producers) in IMDB.. only one Hispanic in there.. and Quentin Tarantino? Interesting.. I wonder which ones decided not to be listed.
Just a thought..

Speaking of political movies, I watched Avatar the other day and the message was soooo obvious it actually poisoned the special effects that were the supposed star of this half billion dollar turd. Not surprised its being rerun in theaters to try to recoup some of the coin it never made first time around.
As to what you might find worthy to watch,Try “no country for old men”.This has to be one of the most wack movies Ive ever seen but which does not draw away from the point of the story.Granted its warped but the lead bad guy plays Evil to an Nth degree of purity and is worth watching just for his performance.
Damn I’m glad I’m not hispanic. I would be at an RCOB level of insulted.
Correct me if I’m wrong here, but the underlying theme of the script seems to be, “white people disobeying the law to persecute and/or kill Mexicans is evil, but Mexicans disobeying the law to kill white people is just Mexicans being Mexicans.” In other words, it tries for audience acceptance of the notion that violent disrespect for the law among Mexicans is a cultural tradition that should be accepted, even celebrated.
I’d want to sue the backers of the picture for slander. And at that, I’d consider suing to be a very mild, very reasoned response. Yeah buddy, I want your socks, your toothbrush, even your dog’s water bowl.
