  1. Those insufferably hypocritical liberals need to grow a spine. “Aw, did snookums get hims feewings hurted?” Asses. What kind of crap did/do they throw at us? “We’re better than them?” Maybe that’s WHY we lost. We either need to speak out, LOUDLY, to prove ourselves totally and incontrovertibly right, or we need to crawl right down into the gutter with them to root them out. Quietly suffering the slings and arrows does NOT win a fight.

I’d agree with that. BUT .. I also think we need to be smarter, or anyway our party leaders do, so that they can anticipate things. Now the national party will get bogged down fighting off this latest bit of nonsense.

We should not be giving the damn liberals the ammo to use against us.  You and I can do things but the party leader, or someone who wants to be, can’t do that.
He doesn’t need to shout either.  He just needs to carry a much bigger stick then the enemy.  And libs are the enemy. We must not forget that.

  3. The telephone sound is actually part of Shanklin’s Al Sharpton schtick, as if ol’ Sharpie were yelling or singing through a megaphone. And of course, the “magic negro” phrase was not original to Shanklin or Limbaugh, but was actually coined by a liberal columnist at the LATimes. Rush just took it and ran with it.

  4. The song is a play on a doper’s classic Puff the magic Dragon.  While the original song is about pot, the parody, using words uttered by a liberal journalist, points out the hypocrisy of the Democrats who treat the various African Americans in differing ways, dependant on their verbal acumen.

I do not dispute that the song is offensive.  Most good parody is offensive, usually to someone the listener can identify with.  In this case, the media, angered by the exposure of their own hypocrisy as well, are up in arms and trying to blacklist the RNC candidate who distributed the CD.

Any person who is sensient is more than aware of the differning point of view that is prevalent in the reporting on candidates, either Democrat, or Republican.  If the original phrase had been made by a “White” or “Conservative” pundit, or otherwise, they would have been pilloried.  The fact that a African American can say the same words and not be chatised for his “lack of tolerance” is itself a parody of the idea of an “Independent and Unbiased media”.

My suggestion to any who see offense in the song is this:
Grow up, and learn that people are allowed to have differing opionions and that political correctness is not really a religon.

  5. Well, this is the problem that occurs whenever conservatives/republicans have to conform to the left’s standards of Politically Correct behavior.  Sure, the guy probably should have realized that this would be used by the dems to tar and feather Republicans as racist. However, my understanding that this was a parody of something a LIBERAL put together.. It didn’t come from the Repubs to begin with.  So instead of the guy realizing that this would be used against him, it turns into he should have realized that the MEDIA wouldn’t be reporting that all important crucial fact.  But I am starting to see things how Jeff Greenwald does.. I am sick and tired of letting the Left control the terms of the debate.  Because every time we do that, we legitimize the lefts claims.  I say screw them.. People are sick of PC and one way to win, is to start attacking PC, not furthering it.

  6. We need to come in hard and straight. No PC, hard, clear, and cold true. THAT might just work.

Absolutely Pc rules on this side of the water and it’s pathetic! People here are suing (and winning) for things like, ‘hurt feelings.’

political correctness is not really a religon.

Correct. Now then, if only we had a way to destroy the church those pin heads have built....
