Religious Discrimination?

  1. Let’s see, pharmacist VIOLATES a rule that the state says must be followed.  Employer says, “Follow rule.” Employee chooses not to follow rule.  Employer offers to transfer employee to place with said rule.  Where is the problem?  Employer FIRES employee for failure to follow rule.  Employer made a reasonable offer of accomodation to employee, which employee rejects.  Sorry, pharmacists are paid to dispense drugs, you don’t dispese drugs, you don’t get paid.  Judge, THROW THIS CASE OUT!

  2. I have to agree with both of you. If the pharmacy sells condums, and you’re pro-life, you shouldn’t work there. Get the hell out and find a job you CAN live with! You’re in the wrong profession.

  3. Probably not OCM. When’s the last time you saw wire coathangers for sell? Kinda hard to un-bend that plastic!

Good point though. We could go on forever.

  4. I agree, don’t take the job.

We had a silly-assed pair of cases in Indiana involving cops.  One was a Seventh Day Adventist Cop who would not work on Saturday, even tho his own church said that policing is the sort of thing allowed on the Sabbath.  Fired.

The other refused to work at a casino because of religious objections. The State made an excellent point: You’d protect a prostitute who was being assaulted on the street, wouldn’t you?  That doesn’t mean you morally endorse prostitution, does it? Fired.

  5. the flaw I see with the COndom analogy though is that condoms are for help in preventing the sperm from meeting the egg and fertilization happening the drugs are for after the egg has already been fertilized and is possibly viable.. I still think the pharmacists were wrong though..

  6. Jen’s mom’s a pharmacist tech with Osco drug. I’m sure ole U2warrior has plenty to say on this.
As for me...well I thought about becoming a pharm tech a few years back. I decided against it because I WOULDN’T fill scrips that will cause the death of an unborn baby.

As for Blajoke-his wife just received an award from UNplanned-parenthood and the prick supports partial birth abortion and is against parental consent laws.
To him it’s all about a woman’s right to kill her baby. I support a conscious clause for pharms.
At least some of them have a conscious-unlike the “Joker”.

I get my scrips at Walgreens-even though I work for Jewel/Osco.
I think I’ll be switching them

  7. Infinity ... Birth control is birth control ... before, during, or after. You’re either for it or against it. MOST Christian religions are against all forms. Fine ... state your official policy, then stay the hell out of my business! And ... it is just that ... MY BUSINESS ... not yours ... not the government’s ... not the Church’s ... MINE and maybe my partner in sex. (depends on whether you’re male or female, married or just banging for fun)

  9. I don’t think my mom has come across any morning-after pill scripts-yet.  I’ll have to ask her tonight.  If she were to, I think she would fill it because it’s her job, but would do so under protest.

  10. #4 First of all, the pharmacist doesn’t dispense condoms - they are bought off the shelf & are taken to checkout - and you can even buy condoms in 7-11 stores, as well as other stores.............

Second - we often have women come to the ER requesting “the morning after pill” - we don’t have them & usually prescribe 2 birth control pills - provides the same protection as the morning after pill..........

Third, these doggiestyle women asshats should avoid getting into these predicaments in the first place!!!!!!!!!  They decide to doggiestyle around and then think that those of us in the ER should save their asses............Can’t stand these simpleton mentallities - however, we must treat these queens as we would any other patient- with “loving” care....... barf
