this is one of those stories where someone usually says, “You won’t believe this.”
Unfortunately, these days most people will believe it because they see it everyday.

1. Yeesh.  Is the UK trying to self-destruct?  The only other explanation I can think of is that the cops are either afraid of - or in cahoots with - these street thugs.

   Perhaps we could arrange a trade.  All the liberals in the U. S. get to move to the U. K. and all the ‘reactionaries’ in the U. K. can move to the U. S.

6. <font size="3">No it's just an easy way to stop the complaints. Back when I was a in my 20's and still living at home there were a number of break in's and the neighborhood complained about lack of care by the police.

   So the county put an officer in the neighborhood for about a week. The officer spent his time giving small fines to everyone in the neighborhood for little things, silly things. When he did not show up the next week no complaints about lack of police presents. The break in's stopped when our next door neighbor had a late night chat with a local gang leader in the gang leaders car with a 45 to the poor bastards head. They struck a deal! The things stolen from his son's car would be returned in two days, all activity in neighborhood will stop and the gang leader would get to keep his head. (our next door neighbor had a lot of time on the ground a bit north of the DMZ as a Seal and this story is about 30 years old)
