1. I’m not sure about the sleeve valve either. Do the cylinders rotate around the pistons?W ithout a doubt the Sea Fury is one of my all time favourite aircraft. Along with that other beast you covered recently the Douglas Skyraider.

   Hawker didn’t really get the credit they deserved in WW2. Everyone (in Britain)wants to see the Spitfir,e but the Hurricane shot down a lot more aircraft and the Typhoons decimated the German troop columns.

   Whilst we are at it can I mention a truly elegant aircraft of the jet age and another from the Hawker stable the Hunter? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_hunter
